I found some difficulties along the way with the images and background but found that if I went back through the file that it was always a simple error of forgetting an equal sign, a quotation mark, a bracket etc and when that was rectified SUCCESS!
I found using HTML to be relatively simple but very time consuming. Overall, though, when the page was complete I felt a great sense of achievement to the point where I was showing people with a "look what I did" sort of pride which was great.
I think the differences between HTML and blogging is primarily the time needed to execute the actions and it is for this reason that I prefer blogging although HTML allows you much more room for creativity.
